Swedan vs South Korea – A Toss Between Experience And Hard Work

Sweden and South Korea will be meeting each other on 18th June, 2018 at the Nizhny Novgorod stadium. South Korea had an early exit in the last world cup and would definitely look forward to do better this time. For Sweden, this is the first time at the world cup after reaching the last 16 way back in 2006. They too have to make a comeback here.

Team Sweden has abundant experience and they are technically sound whereas the Koreans are industrious and hard working. Thus, it is experience versus hard work and both deserve a chance to win.

The Swedes are a strong defensive team under their coach Janne Andersson. Attacking midfielder from RB Leipzig Emil Forsberg is the team’s star, on the left side. Veteran captain Andreas Granqvist has been in the national team for over a decade now and fighting like a soldier. Forward Ola Toivonen talent can change the course of the game. They do not have a reliable goal scorer apart from Marcus Berg. Forsberg can do the job, so can Victor Lindelof and Pontus Jansson. Despite these players, the squad does not look like a threat to any team.

When South Korea qualified for the FIFA world cup 2018, they did not achieve anything extraordinary. Rather, it shows a miserable failure of other teams that the Koreans got their way through. The squad’s attack comes from their star player Son Heung min. Others who have ample experience are Ki Sung Yeung, who is calm and Koo Ja Cheol compensates the calmness of the other veteran with his aggression. All the eyes are on forward Hwang Hee Chan from Red Bull Salzburg. Son is the only one who has scored in the English Premier League and most of the others have been playing in their own home country and do not have much experience to play at a level as this.

The match will be a tight one and the goals will not come by in large numbers. This is going to be a slow race to the finish and right now, Sweden seems to have an upper hand kicking off with a win.

The winner of this match in Group F can assert their authority since they are in a group where Germany is considered to emerge as a winner. It is tough to decide the winner and it will all come down to the last moment.
