Messi and Ronaldo still unmatched by any player in history

Luka Modric may win the title of the world’s best player this year, or Mbappe and Griezmann won the 2018 World Cup title with the French National team. But, according to Juventus and Argentina’s young striker, Paulo Dybala the world’s best players still remain Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. In his view, the two players have no match.

Over the past ten years, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have always dominated the awards of the world’s best players, with each of them having won 5 titles of Ballon d’Or  so far. His second appearance at the age of thirty is considered still very consistent, even many people still believe they are still worthy of the award of the world’s best players.

Unfortunately for this year, FIFA made its choice for Croatian midfielder, Luka Modric. However, it does not mean that Ronaldo and Messi’s time has ended, because according to Dybala, these two players are at levels far above other players.

“For that, Messi and Ronaldo must be in the twilight of their careers, but they still do extraordinary things. Messi and Cristiano are outside the norm. My goal is to be the first among humans,” told Dybala to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Furthermore, this young Argentine player spoke up about other players who had the potential to win the Ballon d’Or, they were Isco, Neymar, and Mbappe. Dybala also admitted that he had set a target to win the Ballon d’Or trophy one day later.

“Another ordinary man, I like Isco, because he never lost the ball, but Neymar and Mbappe are also extraordinary players. When I was little, sitting in front of a fire, I wished I could win the Ballon d’Or. If you want to grow, you have to make a high target,” added Dybala.
